Interview with Audrey Michelle

LADY:  Where did you get your caring heart?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  My parents both are truly good people so it is all I've ever known.

LADY:  What is your life mission?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  I survive to be a good mother, a good friend, a good sister, a good daughter - and hopefully make an amazing wife one day too.

LADY:  What is that thing greater than yourself that you are committed to?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  My son, my passion and my faith.

LADY:  What do you sense is the greatest need among people where you live and people across the Planet Earth?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  Love.

LADY:  If you had the power to change three things going on in the world right now, what would you change and why?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  Abuse in any form - I have dealt with the effects of abuse - and still do daily.  It seems to be a never ending battle.  To say that leaving the situation is winning the battle, well that is just a start.  However, survival is grounded within that foundation.

Racism - Has been the cause of every major war that took place.  I can not imagine how anyone could consider themselves above another.  Those that do are those that sit well below.

Ignorance - Both abuse and racism are examples of ignorance, however, it takes many forms.  Throughout the world people are left without education and the knowledge they need to see the world and/or their destiny clearly.  Therefore they may not know better then to engage in abuse/racism.  They may be faulted from their birth.

How do we take on abuse, racism and ignorance?  First we fight against it within our own lives - and prevail.  Then, we stand strong and aid others in their pursuit of their G-D given right to happiness.

LADY:  What is your sense of the why of the conflicts between adult women and men, people of different ethnic groups, people of different economic groups, or just people of different social or gender preferences?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  Again I see the issue as ignorance.  A lot of people just don't know better.  People will label others throughout their lives.  However, victims must be strong enough to continue along their path even if those they encounter are the weak enforcers of ignorance.  We can not blame others, if we allow ourselves to remain victims.

LADY:  Who is your current greatest living influence and why?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  Angelina Jolie - Too me she defines the meaning of a woman.

She is sexy and she is beautiful.

She is brilliant and she is independent.

She takes on the problems of the world first hand.

She is an amazing mother.

Mostly though, she lets no one stand in her way.  They may hate, but she will not allow herself to become their label.

LADY:  What are your recommendations for families with children?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  Never treat a child like a second class citizen.  To do so is to demean their confidence for life.  Their feelings and needs should never come second to that of the adults within their lives.

LADY:  How do you process all the human violence and natural disasters taking place all over the world?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  Sometimes it is hard to process it at all, seemingly too much to handle.  I try not to question my faith in G-D but sometimes it is hard to understand why he/she allows so much suffering to occur within the lives of so many people.

LADY:  What are you living for? What do you hope for yourself, your family, your community, and for humanity?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  I live foremost for my son.

I hope for only one thing for all of humanity.  Happiness, no matter what form it takes on, its truth encompasses all.

LADY:  What is your sense of what the future holds?

AUDREY MICHELLE:  I don't know.  That is the biggest fear in my life.  I hold steady to my faith, no matter how it is tested.  I grip on to the goodness in my heart, no matter how many times that heart is broken.

One thing I can promise is this:

I will prevail in goodness, even if my life's journey forever remains undefined.

Vanity?

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
-- Eleanor Roosevelt

Standing bare for all to see
Feelings exposed, deep, passionate
Standing bare for all to see
Body exposed, confident, proud
Embarrassed of seeming too vain
Fearful more of going unnoticed
Is there vanity within the image reflected?
A capsule of pain
Little balls of lies and hurt rotate through me
Bump against each other just for laughs
A falling star
Destined to glow passionately
Yet to fall alone through the sky
A warrior
Willingly losing the will to fight
Enemies growing, now too many to defeat
A baby girl
Carried within the body of a woman
Can hear her cry, yet can't reach her
A princess
Constantly awaiting her prince to come
Assuming contentedness in kissing frogs
An aging starlight
Always the center of attention
Knowing she is too old for her life
A woman
Doing the one thing she thought she could not do
Praying that Eleanor Roosevelt was right

Fade To Light

Fear assumes all hope as false
Declares a war to prove its loss
The sin within a mind that's proud
Ignored first pinpricks it allowed
Doubts chubby fingers steal belief
Leaves behind prints of its grief
Within its smudge its armies grow
Will powers rule they over throw
Hopes soldiers fight through acid rain
To find all of its troops remained
A flashlight found on injured shred
Lights up a black path found ahead
Fate orders units to proceed
"Follow dark, to light it leads"
Rain slows down but still drips fear
Drops fought each time they come near
Clouds silver lining then appears
To dry the land of useless tears
A vision left behind rains shower
Shines hues along the path to power
Though hope spends all it must invest
In arch that leads to treasure chest
